NOTE: For all recipes - if you are only using 1/2 the amount of dry dip then only use 1/2 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt and 1/2 a cup of mayonnaise. Or 1 full cup of sour cream or yogurt and omit the mayonnaise.

Directions for All 3 Recipes:
  1. In a medium bowl combine the ingredients and mix.

  2. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours before serving.

  3. Serve with chips and/or veggies.

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

(Or 2 full cups of sour cream or yogurt and omit mayonnaise.)

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1 tablespoons dried dill

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried chives

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon fine sea salt

1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 cup mayonnaise

(Or 2 full cups of sour cream or yogurt and omit mayonnaise.)

Time-Saving Tip

If you are crunched on time around the holidays shop local for the dip mixes and purchase them already made so you save time and energy mixing and making the dry dip mixes.

Making Dry Dip Mix Ornaments

  1. Using a small funnel, carefully pour the dry dip mix of choice into the clear ornament.

  2. Once the ornament is full, securely screw the ornament cap shut. You can add an extra layer of holiday cheer by tying a ribbon or twine around the top for hanging if they don’t come with a string.

  3. Attach a tag to the ornament with instructions for making the dip and a personal note.

Gift-Giving Tips

Personalize it!

Tailor the dip mix to your recipient's taste and consider adding a note suggesting additional ingredients they might enjoy mixing in.

Bulk assembly!

Bribe your friends with wine and dinner and have them come over to help you make multiple Dip Mix Ornaments at once for an efficient and charming gift assembly line.

Theme it Up!

Customize the ornaments based on the occasion. For a holiday party, choose red and green dips and snowflake or lightbulb-shaped ornaments; for Valentine’s Day consider using a heart-shaped ornament and red or white dip.

So, gather your materials, prepare your dry dip mix, and get ready to create a delightful and flavorful ornament that's as enjoyable to make as it is to give. Happy gifting!
