Ingredients
12 asparagus spears (the thinner the better.)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pre-rolled puff pastry sheet
8-10 pieces of prosciutto
salt and pepper
Directions
Rinse the asparagus under cold water and cut the hard ends off.
Place asparagus into a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper and toss to coat.
Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut into 1/2 inch wide strips. The length will depend on the the length of the asparagus.
Take a piece of prosciutto and wrap it around the asparagus spear and then take a strip of dough and wrap it around , leaving some free space in between.
Place finished spears on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Serve warm.
